Spider veins, port-wine stains, haemangiomas

Laser therapy using our Multi Spot ND:YAG laser is ideally suited for treating very fine spider veins. The vascular walls in the veins are heated through the skin with monochromatic light, which is then absorbed and obliterates the spider veins so that they can be subsequently broken down by the body. This is a particularly gentle way of treating this ailment and does not leave any scars. For ideal results, 3 to 5 appointments are usually required. The removal of spider veins is also of great prophylactic benefit, as spider veins can easily develop into varicose veins over time.

Port-wine stains are congenital and usually harmless malformations of the blood vessels of the epidermis. As these often appear on the face, they are frequently viewed as bothersome. At Skin & Aesthetic, we use a powerful IPL laser and Multi Spot ND:YAG laser to remove port-wine stains.

Haemangiomas are benign tumours. They can appear in both adults and children. At Skin & Aesthetic, we use a Multi Spot ND:YAG laser and state-of-the-art IPL treatment to remove unwanted haemangiomas. The light pulses of the laser and the heat these create within the blood vessels essentially “heat seal” the afflicted areas. This is a soft and almost painless procedure.
